Vandaag heb ik een telex bericht gehad (fax) van neptunes:

Fm: NPFECC (Neptune Punishment for Forbidden Equator Crossings Centre)

Dear Captain Honig,

I found out that your 2 cadets T.L Sauer ( from now known as Hermit) and H.N.P van de Weerd ( from now known as Kaniet) on your good motorvessel Alblasgracht want to cross the equator secretly without notifying ME or my LOVELY MERMAIDS of the NBNFECC (Neptune Baptism of Non- Forbidden equator crossings Centre) before arrival in Brisbane. I heard your good officers warned them about this matter but cadet Hermit is not worried and is not following our rules, And cadet kaniet say that he already has been Baptist but sofar no certificate was been shown.
As you well known dear captain I Neptune, emperor of the Oceans, king of the 7 seas etc etc, will not allow them to cross the equator secretly. The only way to become a good sailor and to show more respect to Neptune is to receive the baptism and official certificate from the NBNFECC (Neptune Baptism of Non- Forbidden equator crossings Centre) and a punishment from the NPFECC( Neptune Punishment for Forbidden Equator Crossings Centre).
Such things make Neptune angry, very angry. You can say Neptune is very very angry.

Therefore I Neptune, Emperor of the oceans , King of the 7 sea etc etc etc , and my HORRIBLE PIRATES of the NPFECC want to punish those misfits on board of your good vessel according the rules and laws for forbidden equator crossings and not obeying Neptune.

Please let these 2 guys send the ETA of the equator crossing of your good vessel today at 12.00 sharp next to the foremast by the prescribed flag signals. As the good days are over that seamen learned such things at a good nautical school I give you the rules hereby. Please captain instruct them accordingly otherwise the punishment will be WIRSE THEN EVER

-Every call must be started with my full name in flag signals.
-ETA date: number of days must be waved by N-Flag horizontal from right to left.
-ETA time ( must be waved at same time as ETA date): number of months must be waved by A-flag vertical from top to bottom.
-Longitude of crossing: Number of degrees must be turned by D-flag above the head. This must done simultaneous.

Flags for signaling must be attached at a stick for good visibility.

My HORRIBLE PIRATES are already hoping they will fail this task so they can punish them extra. But to calm them down a bit a box of beer must be given as a present when I come this Saturday afternoon on board.

Om 12 uur moesten we seinvlaggen ophangen in de mast om onze ETA door te geven aan neptunes, ( aankomst tijd dat we de evenaar overgaan).
En we hebben ook elk een bijnaam gekregen: ik heet nu Hermit.
En morgen om 12 uur lokale tijd komt neptunes aan boord met zijn vrouw hare majesteit vissenstaart, om ons te straffen omdat we zonder toestemming de evenaar over wouden gaan.

Voorlopige Reis informatie:

We zouden eerst vanaf port Kembla (Australië) weer terug gaan naar Japan, echter is deze reis gewijzigd en is de planning als volgt:

Australie laden bulk
Nieuw-Zeeland lossen bulk laden jachten en uien.
Panama op door reis
Rhode Island ( New York) lossen jachten
Vlissingen (Nederland) lossen uien
Amsterdam het dok in voor een keuring

Verwachte aankomst in NL: 1e 2 weken van Juni Het is 5 weken varen vanaf Nieuw-Zeeland naar Nederland.

Dus als het mee zit zie ik aardig wat van de wereld, en kom ik bruin aan in Nederland als het daar een beetje warmer begint te worden, wat ik nu al ben aangezien het hier 30 graden is. De aftersun is al weer bijna op..
